These two topics cover more Common Law concepts and terminology than any other, and are essential tools for all translators and interpreters as well as civil code notaries or civil code lawyers who have contact with English Law or the English legal process. You cannot say you are familiar with English Law without a working knowledge of this material.  It is not specialised: it is basic!

What is the difference between a ‘lease’ and a ‘lease agreement’? What are ‘without prejudice’ negotiations? How did the use of the word ‘pleadings’ change? Is there a difference between ‘plaintiff’ and ‘claimant’?
